Just a reminder

This is a reminder that on New Year's Day we will have a memory art session for 10 dollars which includes lunch. It will be all day. 10-6. Get those Christmas albums started. Perfect time before work starts to bog you down.

We will also have sneak previews of CHA. Yep, they have already started sending things. We will print out a few so you can see what is going on for 2009. Really cute-to what is that. You be the judge.

No card reader with me so I can not upload pics. I'll be back later on tonight. Getting ready for that 10 hour drive. See ya tomorrow. Lots to talk about.

It's Christmas Eve and I forgot 2 gifts so I am off to get them. It's, let see 20 degrees here. Won't be out long. Can't wait for tomorrow. Santa's coming! Be careful shopping today. I am sure the warm weather there might make you tired!LOL

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from Scrap ChicBoutique. As you can tell I am not in town. Didn't do a blog Friday because of the excitement of leaving. I am in Maryland with family. Having a ball. It is sooooo cold. Can I tell you 13 degrees and counting down!LOL I really do not miss that part. Let me tell you about this week. We will be open today. Some tomorroww  call first, for deliveriess only, and we will be closed on Thursday and Friday. Look for a newsletter Wednesday night about some fabulous buys on Saturday. You will not want to miss it.

I will definitely have to post the pictures of Rob's Grandmother's 100 year birthday party. It was a blast. Can you believe 100 years. Born 1908. think of the changes that she has seen. Cars, planes, microwaves, space travel, tv's fashion. So much. It is truly unbelievable.

We are getting Valentines things in but seriously folks, can we get through Christmas? If you must start now on Valentines Day, well come in sometime after Christmas and we will see what we can do. I just hate the rush of holiday scrapping. Let's enjoy the moments and capture them before we shot to the next. Breathe just a little.

Closer than you think

Yes it's creeping on us. Christmas is almost here. C'mon in and finish up those albums. We haven't got a ton of new stuff because of CHA and inventory but we are still getting things in, check us out before the holiday.

I need to change something. We will have the lunch memory art session in January, not this Saturday. Laetitia will be the only one there Saturday. Hard to do by yourself ,so we will have a Christmas present for you. A free memory art session. Come crop with us all day for free. No lunch but snacks will be available. Call to make reservations. Also the lunch session is 10 not 15 dollars. Sorry. But look you get a free session because of my mistake. Plan to attend to finish up all those Christmas albums.

I am in a festive mood. Let's double the coupon that is on your newsletter, add 10% more to your paper  and embellishment sale and pull out the stocking for extra savings. Who knows, a lucky winner will get 50% of their total including the sale items. Can't beat that. So see you there.

Almost there

Can you believe that Christmas is right around the corner. Have I finished shopping? Nope not at all. It is unbelievable. Well the little slide show that I have was from last night. It wasn't to many pictures because I did not want the girls to feel intimidated. Laetitia did a great job at teaching the girls how to make a scrapbook with paper bags. It was wonderful. You can see the little elves had fun too! I just want to thank all the customers that dropped things off last week. They were the most wonderful gifts. You guys are the bomb. Love was in the air. Let me tell you, they were the most appreciative girls you ever want to meet. No haggling, no fussing, just grateful that people cared. It was refreshing to meet teenagers like that. We will be doing things time to time with them. Thanks so much for your help.

The sale this week is to help you wrap up your present giving. We will put all remaining Christmas and Halloween paper on 40% with something we rarely do. @0% off of Quickuts. If you are a member you can get an additional 10%. Yep, hopefully the new ones will be here soon. We have lots of Quick kits to make that album in a hurry thing. So come and get your last minute shopping complete.

Time to give a little

I know that this is the season that you guys give everything from the heart that you have, but I have one more request. On Wednesday I received a call from Trinity Ministry. The found our number on the web and wanted to know if we could help. They are having a party for 9 foster care teens that have babies. These girls range in the age from 16-19 and their babies from newborn to two. These girls live in a group home and have no one but themselves for support and love. One of their Christmas wishes was to scrap their kids lives. In foster care you have very little memory of your childhood. Specially, when you are young and can not control things.. You lose yourself. They didn't want that for their children. So we are going to  make mini albums with them on Monday. I have first hand knowledge of this. Lavel was adopted from foster care. We have NOTHING from birth to five. No pictures, drawings, mementos, NOTHING. It is like she didn't exist. It's sad. I don't want this for them.

My request is that if you have it in your pocket and heart, if you can bring something by for the babies. Anything. Just label it boy or girl or something neutral. I am sure they would appreciate it. Just leave it at the counter. You don't even have to come in if you call we can run to the car. I just wanted to take a little extra love with us. Thanks for all those that help in advance. We will be open late tonight and all day Saturday and 1-6 on Sunday. Call Monday to see if we are there. We usually are.

Now don't forget that tonight is SHOTS and tomorrow is ATC. We have lots of cool things to make. The sale is pretty good this week also. We have new doodlebug glitter paper, new stamps and the new Memory Makers Magazine.

Don't forget that the ATC class is today and Saturday. The last classes were full, so make sure that you keep up with the times and dates. Just call to sign up. It is just $5, so you already know it is recession proof. LOL I'll continue to post them. Just for a reminder, let's post January thru March.

Mark your calenders. The club will start in January. It looks like it will be a lot of fun. Oh here are a few pics of the cards you will make. The first is a spinner. You will be embossing and using lots of other techniques. Ok I have to admit. I had no idea what a spinner was. I thought it was the 7 Gypsy thingy. Boy do I have a lot to learn. Don't miss this class.

I also have a few pictures of the SHOTS projects. They are really cute. The first is a flip calender. It is the bomb. Seriously, you will make this calender that can be used year after year. What a deal. Better than those kits you can buy. Using 7 Gypsy paper and the bind it all you will create a wonder. It is great. The next is a organizer. Now everybody needs one of these. Now this one is for Christmas. but you can make it for everyday use. There are other things. SHOTS is a project night that you can come in buy small to large kits or layouts and complete them in 3 hours. The range in price from $2 to $12.99. You can enjoy desserts and drinks. All this for $5.00 which still includes one project. Lot's to do. A great bargain. 

So this weekend is so full. ATC and SHOTS. You don't want to miss either.
