The slide show is of the new place. It is a great Victorian house. Now remember it won't be "fresh" like the other site. Has a little character. You know peeling paint, closed fireplaces you know things you would find in a old, old, old house but we love it. It won't be totally finished Tuesday but you will be able to shop the new stuff. We will have plenty.

We will be close Half a day Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday. We have a lot to clean in both places. Bear with us a little. We are so excited. All the stores events will continue Tuesday as usual.

The coupon will be honored through Wednesday next week so do not throw it away. You will definitely want to use it.

Some things are so hard.

It's hard to say some things, leave some things and make change. It is just not in our means to leave something we totally love. So we just want to say-as much as we love the store location and all the people that visit us while walking, we are going to have to do this this thang! Yep, MOVE!!!!!!!!!! You thought it was something else! We have been thinking about this for a while and decided that it is the best. You will LOVE the new place. It is really nice. So that is the big announcement. Only change will be that we will be closed early on Friday (around 2ish), Saturday and Sunday. It is not far at all and we are soooo excited. Keep up with the blog because I WILL post pictures. Robin has helped me sort out a few issues on the picture thing with vista. I definitely want to show you pictures. So stay tuned today. Really I probably will be posting in between everything.

The store is still open for business. We have lots of new things that will be ready for Tuesday's opening. I will get the address for you. Christmas and Halloween will stay out till Friday. Ohhh we have some new Halloween. The new Christmas will come out on Tuesday.

Brrrr It's cold!

I am not a cold weather girl. I love fall with the colors but once it hits winter I am all in! And I swear it feels like winter this morning. I had to go outside (I'm looking for the cord to my camera so I can load pictures) and I swear it was so cold I gave up looking in the car! Brrrr. I am sure some of you are looking forward to this much cooler weather but you will definitelyy will find me on the inside with a big mug of hot chocolate.LOL Anywhoo

Today is Wednesday and I am going to do something even I can not believe. I am gonna make the garage stuff 50 again, today only and you have a forty coupon for regular merchandise purchases but wait, if you bring in your coupon you get double! Yep you can get two things for 40% with one coupon, 50% garage sale stuff and I might even throw in secret hourly sales. Yes I am totally serious about not wanting to count this.LOL

I will have to make a slide show of pictures. For some reason it is just plain ----(fill in the blank don't be to naughty) to get pictures to load. I think it is vista. Speaking of that I just love the new MAC commercial where vista is having a bake sale because they don't want to fix it. It really seems like that is what I need a bake sale for money to help fix vista! Ok off track.

YOU NEED TO SEE THE MINI ALBUM FOR HALLOWEEN! IT IS THE BOMB! Ok I'll hurry to work where I think my camera cord is. Until then. Big announcement tomorrow! I mean big. No I am not pregnant. Pls What would I do with another child but faint! Oh I can not wait.

Answered questions

There have been several questions asked about lots of things happening at Scrap Chic. This blog wil be dedicated to answering them.

Classes

Many want to know how they can sign up for classes. You can put it here on the blog or you can call the store and tell us which class you want to sign up for. For example, for the ATC class call the store or just respond to the blog. Either will get you signed up. You can pay over the phone or when you come in. We prefer payment over the phone in order to keep an accurate account of participants. Sometimes we also have a paypal attached in order to sign up on line.

I try to keep a picture of the classes on line. EMI uses a slide show and I really like that idea. Good work Susan. Think I will do that so you can go through and see what classes are available.

We have revamped prices in order to accomandate the economy. Hey, we are all in this together. So check out the new prices for each class.

Clubs

We have several clubs available at the store. Stamp, Cards, Main Squueze, Fresh and Tasty, Journaling and ATC. All except the ATC require a time committment. All except the Fresh and Tasty and the ATC have a fee. If you are interested in any of the clubs contact the following

Contests

We have a few contests at Scrap Chic. I try to announce the winners. I sometimes have pictures and sometimes not. The Scrap Pink winners were announced and the WOW Wednesday winner also. So far everything has been completed. We have holiday contests coming up and I will keep you up to date.

Merchandise

We try to keep new things in that you want. We have more Christmas coming in and Valentines. Technique Tuesday stamps and lots more. We now have the challenge of being the only LSS inside the Perimeter so we will try to take up some of the slack. Ok we will probably carry a little more "theme" things for those who shopped ASC. Don't want to leave any one out. Let us know what you might want. Respond to the blog.

Art Sessions

We call our crops art sessions. We will do a little rearranging of them in January but until then we have a Friday night art session for 20 dollars with dinner and a 10-10 for 15 with snacks a Lucky 7 for 7 dollars. Anything other than that we have private crops. Games, sales and fun.

Whew!

Did ya visit Robin yesterday? I was totally out of the loop. We left the house at 10:00 a.m. and returned at 8:00 p.m. We accomplished everything! Made all our appointments and then some! Oh we even got a chance to catch up on the do's, so we look pretty fly today. (you already know I hate to do the hair thing).

Well this will be reminder entry about the 10-10 this weekend and the garage sale this Sunday. It will start at 1:00 and continue till around 5:00. We close at six and will have to get everything up and put back. Come on in for a few great bargains.

Check out the gas prices. Tell me that is the best! I am so happy. I know that it has nothing to do with scrabooking but I am just happy about it. I can fill up again. Yep, the needle can go over to the right again!LOL Back to the blog.

We have great things planned for next week so stay with us. Oh yes, for those who like Quick Kutz the new holiday shapes will be ordered. Let me know if you want them. Pre orders only. If you do not pre order we will not get them. Ok.

Nope didn't forget. We have appointments today and Robin is going to hold the fort down for me. I remembered. I didn't have to get up as early so the post is a little later. I'm gonna keep you in the loopy loop.

 Today is Wednesday and we have the VIC for ya!  Let's do rub ons for 50%. Now think about this people, that means all of them. Christmas, Halloween, and Fall. Can't beat that. And for the first time in Scrap Chic history let's put thickers on sale for 40% off. I don't know why we never do thickers. Last but not least I am gonna get that Elsie and KI Bloom what they deserve! 50% off.

Let's get started

The week is started and we have so much going on. We want to revamp a lot of things at the store. All for the good so look out for big changes in the near future.

let's start with the weekly sale. Yep Halloween is on sale. It is 30% off. We will have new Halloween later on in the week. I can't wait for that. Some Christmas also. Stencils and Cloud 9 is also on sale. We are doing a little house keeping so we decided to have a yard sale on Sunday afternoon. Lots of good buys. Don't wait till then to see what will be on sale. I'll be marking things all week so come on in and get a sneak peek.

I want to tell you about the ATC club and class. The class pictures are below and you will receive a few free gifts to get you started once you join the club. Remember the club is FREE! FREE club free goodies. So here is the info on the swap from Myra.

ATC Swap

As far as the swap, I just want to summarize the swap process since we were jotting notes down while brainstorming.

 

Who can particiate?  Anyone.  You do not have to attend the monthly ATC classes to be a member of the ATC swap club.

When? Once a month.

How? (1) Sign up by the deadline so we can determine how many participants will be included in the month's swap.  The deadline to sign up is usually 4 weeks in advance of the due date.

(2) As the swap host, Scrap Chic will announce the number of participants shortly after the sign-up deadline as well as how many cards each of you will need to make.  The host will try to keep it at no more than 10 cards per participant per swap.  For instance, if we have 20 participants, we will divide the group into two groups of 10 so that each person will only have to make 10 ATCs (nine to swap and one to keep for yourself).

(3) Submit your completed ATCs by the due date, which is usually the Monday before distribution.  Scrap Chic will divide up the ATCs and package them with your name and have them available for your pick up at any time after the distribution date, which is usually the Saturday of the same week.

Why?  ATCs are addictive.  They are fun to make and fun to collect.  You can use your collection to trade for better cards.  You can use your collection as inspiration for your card making or scrapbook.
